HUD CHDO & HOME
Training/Technical AssistanceThe Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) Technical Assistance funds awarded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) allow DTI to provide training and consultation to CHDOs.
CHDOs are non-profit, community-based organizations that are involved in producing affordable housing for low and moderate income individuals. CHDOs are certified by their local governments as eligible to receive HOME funds for these activities: debt financing for rental or home ownership projects; tenant rental assistance; and operating support for their organizations.
DTI uses these awards to provide training and technical assistance to CHDOs. DTI’s menu of course offerings includes the Project Development Introduction (PDI), the Project Development Program (PDP) and the Advanced Project Development Program (APDP), as well as various one to three day short courses on specific topics.
