Grants

DTI's Community Building Investment (CBI) Program assists Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) and potential CHDOs, as certified by HUD, in building the capacity or their organizations. CBI provides funding from $2,500 to $15,000 per organization. CBI funds can be used for following investments:

• Equipment and Supplies (computers, software, etc.)
• Skill Enhancement (training for staff and board members.)
• Salaries (Staff salaries.)
• Professional Services (market studies, feasibility studies, engineering services, technical or legal assistance, audits, etc.)

Funding for this program is provided by Pass-Through Funds of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and other additional resources as available.
